Head of Philanthropy – maternity contract Full Time

Are you looking to step up into a Head of Philanthropy role? Action Against Hunger have been working for over 40 years and across 50 countries to lead the fight against world hunger, with a goal to double private income by 2026. The fundraising and communications department is growing into a talented and driven team with the addition of this new role.

This 12-month maternity contract will play a crucial part in leading the team to success through, creating an inspiring donor journey unique to Action Against Hunger, with a focus on impact. You will develop and deliver the Philanthropy strategy with a focus on delivering the long-term growth of major donors, trusts and foundations and high value support from ambassadors and influencers.

You will need:

• • Proven success in securing and managing six figure+ gifts from major donors and/or trusts and organisations
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, benchmarking and monitoring performance across multiple channels, products and audiences
  • Experience of leading and developing a high performing team
  • A keen eye for details, communicating complex technical information into easily accessible material for supporters
